And who are you?
A bit about the team…
Our team is made up of 8 specialist researchers and 6 associate researchers, who are drafted in to work with us from time to time. The academic backgrounds of the team range from history to marine biology, but we all have extensive experience in desk research, information analysis and producing high quality written information.
Our mission is to make sure that the information we provide on voluntary and community sector funding – our individual scheme entries, news items and guides to funding - are useful to you. We want you to be able to see at a glance whether your group is eligible for the thousands of grants, loans or awards out there.
The information that we research is continually updated. We are constantly checking information published in news feeds, web sites, document and policy releases – on a weekly basis we track over 500 information sources! We also carry out proactive research; ensuring that all information is checked and refreshed on a continual basis – whether or not it is as a result of news or press changes.
Amie, j4b’s resident Fund-it Pundit, is the team’s dedicated voluntary and community sector researcher. For a number of years now, she has worked closely with a community group in her local area of North Wales and has gained valuable ‘hands-on’ experience of the sector, including applying for funding and putting on events.
